INVITATION TO ATTEND

Dear Coordinator of Recruiting:

Please accept my invitation for you and your recruiting staff to attend the 17^th Annual North Texas Drama Auditions; which will be held on Thursday November 18 from 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM in the Conference Center, located on the Spring Creek Campus of Collin College in Plano.  This event will serve to introduce you to the top graduating drama students within the North Texas area; as well as some transfer-eligible students from two-year colleges.

This year we anticipate audition commitments from approximately 250 students, representing some 35-40 Dallas/Fort Worth area theatre programs. The auditions will showcase actors, actor/singers, and design/tech students.  (The performers will have 1½ minutes to showcase their talent.  The design/tech students will be set-up for a walk-around from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.)

Hopefully, the timing of these auditions will fit nicely into your recruiting schedule; particularly if you have made plans to attend the showcase at the Booker T. Washington Arts Magnet High School of Dallas that weekend.  Our auditions and callbacks are contained between 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM on Thursday November 18, allowing you to attend our auditions before observing the full range of showcase activities at Arts Magnet the remainder of the weekend.  A continental breakfast will be provided courtesy of our College beginning at 7:00 AM, and lunch will be provided between auditions.  Coffee, tea and water will be made available throughout the day.

Callbacks will also be held in our Conference Center between 6:00 – 9:00 PM.  You may set-up your table prior to the start of the auditions.  Security will watch the tables until callbacks begin.

This year there is a nominal participation fee of $50.00 for the first two College Representatives.  Please click here to download an invoice to submit to your business office.  The deadline for payment is Monday October 25, 2010.  (Please note: the participation fee is non-refundable.)

I realize that it may be some time before you finalize your Fall 2010 recruiting schedule.  Therefore, you may receive additional mailings from us in this regard.  I look forward to meeting you at the auditions, and trust that the auditions will prove beneficial to your program.
