Associate of Arts (AA)


To earn an associate degree, complete the 42 credit hour General Education Core, and 18 credit hours of general studies electives and the Associate of Arts (AA) degree requirements.


About the Program

The Theatre Department at Collin College strives to introduce students to the aesthetic and analytical elements of theatrical production. Click here to find out more about our course offerings. 



The state-of-the-art theatre facility is comprised of three separate performance spaces including the 350-seat John Anthony Theatre, the 120-seat Black Box Theatre and the intimate ALT Lab Theatre. The complex also houses two dressing rooms, a theatre box office, a costume vault and construction shop, a scene and paint shop, in addition to numerous acting and directing classroom spaces. Hall of Fame & Former Students

Our students have gone on to prestigious advanced training programs and successful careers on Broadway, in film and television, and in teaching.
Former theatre students include Michael Urie (UGLY BETTY, TORCH SONG TRILOGY), James Ortiz (OBIE AWARD WINNER), Jason Ralph (THE MAGICIANS, PETER AND THE STAR CATCHER) and Corey Boulieris (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR LIVE).
