Collin College Theatre Department

Dress Code

The Collin Theatre department has a dress code for the shop and all construction areas. This code will be enforced at all times in the scene shop. This includes crew time as well as strike. The code is as follows:

1) Sturdy shoes with solid rubber or leather soles. Tennis shoes are ok but boots of some kind are preferred. No kind of open toe shoe or any kind of high-heeled shoe will be permitted.

2) Long pants must be worn-- no shorts, skirts or dresses.

3) No ties, scarves or loose fitting clothing may be worn. Shirts must be tucked in    and long sleeves must be buttoned or rolled up.

4) Large rings or dangling necklaces can be dangerous and should not be worn.

5) Eye protection must be worn when using any power tool.

6) Hair longer than shoulder length must be confined when using power tools.

We have these rules to ensure your safety.  If you are not dressed to work we cannot let you. You should know that as a student, volunteer or contract laborer you are not covered by Collin College's insurance.
