Wendy Brantley passed away in 2007 following a long
battle with cancer. Prior to her death, Wendy worked as an actress in
New York City. She completed her Theatre degree at Marymount Manhattan
College (with honors), where she appeared in production of Elmer Rice's
The Adding Machine and many others. Professionally, Wendy worked
as a model, on the television soap opera "The Guiding Light," and she
appeared in the acclaimed off-Broadway production of Sam Shepard's A
Lie of the Mind. Famed choreographer Fay Simpson
created a dance piece entitled “Birdgirl” that premiered in 2007 at the
Impact Theatre in New York City. The piece was dedicated to the memory
of Wendy. Believing that she could
change the world, Wendy worked tirelessly as an activist on behalf of
persons living with cancer. Click

Wendy Gayle Brantley Memorial Scholarship. This
scholarship is awarded annually to the Most Promising Incoming Theatre
