Malil is a professional actor based in Los Angeles. His film roles
include leads in Collateral Damage with Arnold Schwarzenegger,
Crossing Over, Columbus Day, Holes,
My Favorite Martian, El Cortez, Dead Man on Campus,
and The 40-Year Old Virgin. Shelley has
guest starred on such television shows as Seinfeld, E.R., The
West Wing, Party of Five, Reba, Scrubs, Silk Stalkings, Luis, Mike Hammer P.I., The Jamie
Foxx Show, NYPD Blue, Without a Trace, Sabrina the Teenage Witch,
and on Tracey Ullman's comedy special, Tracey Takes On. Shelley is perhaps
best remembered for his award-winning "What Are You Doing?"
commercials for Budweiser. (Pic1,
Pic2, Pic3.) He has co-starred with Sigourney
Weaver, Jon Voight, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tim Blake Nelson, Mary-Kate
and Ashley Olsen, John Leguizamo, John Turturro, John Stamos, Edward
Asner, Elizabeth Hurley, Darryl Hannah, Christopher Lloyd, Jeff Daniels,
Tom Everett Scott, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Beau Bridges, James Earl Jones,
Phil Hartman, James Coburn, Dennis Franz, Anthony LaPaglia, Rob Lowe,
Martin Sheen, Jamie Foxx, Tracey Ullman, Patricia Arquette and many
others. Shelley was selected
as one of the ”Top 10 Overlooked Performances of 2005” by the Associated
Press for his performance in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. He is the
recipient of a Clio Award (for the Budweiser commercials), a Los Angeles
Ovation Award as Best Featured Actor for his performance as Bottom in
A Midsummer Night's Dream,
and was nominated for the
Los Angeles Ovation Award for his performance in subUrbia.
