Michelle Burdeaux
Lighting Designer/Technician

Michelle
Burdeaux is a lighting designer and technician. She graduated from
Collin with an Associate of Arts degree Magna Cum Laude, and received her
bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University Summa Cum Laude.
Michelle’s professional experience has been varied.
She has worked as an Electrician for the Dallas Theater Center,
as a technician for Vari*Lite, as a carpenter for the University of
Navada at Las Vegas, and as an Associate Professor at Collin County
Community College. Her
experience as the Manager of the Exposure Indoor Rock Climbing facility
led to her being hired by the Dallas Theater Center to be the Rappelling
Coach for their acclaimed production of Big Love. Michelle
served as Scenic Designer for the World Premiere of Jason Stuart’s
play, Through a Glass Onion, and also on the Quad C Theatre production of
Sweet Eros. She has worked as the Lighting Designer for
numerous shows at Texas Woman’s University, and was the Lighting
Designer on Quad C Theatre’s production of Boy Gets Girl.
Michelle currently serves as the Technical Director and Resident
Lighting Designer for the Courtyard Theater in Plano. She
is a nine-time winner of the Collin Theatre Award, including the award
for Outstanding Theatre student in 1998. |
