 Jimmy
Hays Nelson is a professional actor, working in theatre, television, and
print media. He has appeared on television in Ally McBeal, The
Practice, Ugly Betty and Gilmore Girls.
Jimmy also co-hosted a syndicated talk show called Teen Talk,
and has appeared in music videos for Jibe. He has shot commercials for
Toyota, Nokia, Chuck E. Cheese, Doritos, American Singles, Radio Shack,
Old Navy, and many more. Disney fans may remember seeing Jimmy on
the Great Movie Ride at Walt Disney World, playing the gangster, Mugsy
Toccata. But Jimmy is best known around the Dallas/Fort Worth
Metroplex for his work in the theatre.
Jimmy received a Leon Rabin Award nomination as Best Actor in a
musical for his performance in My Favorite Year at the Plano
Repertory Theatre. He has also been seen in productions at Lyric Stage, Granbury
Opera House, Contemporary Theatre of Dallas, Quad C, Nearly Naked
Theatre, Its About Time
Productions, WaterTower Theatre, and Casa Manana, where he created the
role of Johnny Blood in the World Premiere musical, Desperate
Measures. Jimmy is a member of Actors Equity, and lives in New
York City, where he has appeared off-Broadway in the musicals Side
Show and Hell's Kitchen. |
