Brendan C. Quigley

            Lighting Designer / Theatre Technician /
         Instructor

Brendan C. Quigley (pictured far left) has worked professionally as an Account Executive, Technical Director, Scenic and Lighting Designer, Lighting Director, Programmer, Head Electrician, Vari*Lite Technician, Master Carpenter, Instructor, Welder and Draftsman.  He was the Assistant Technical Director at Collin from 1992-1996.  While at Collin, Brendan designed scenery for The Foreigner and Romeo and Juliet, and was the Vari*Lite Liaison on our productions of Terra Nova, Stefanie Hero and Stand-Up Tragedy; the later of which advanced to the National Finals of the American College Theater Festival.  Brendan has toured the world with theatrical productions and music groups.  He has facilitated concert lighting for Whitney Houston, Van Halen, Michael W. Smith, the Pat Metheny Group, and Hank Williams Jr.  He served as a lighting technician for the 1988 Democratic National Convention, and he toured the USA with the Irish dance sensation Riverdance, as well as with the Disney musical AIDA.  Brendan also worked on Broadway with Riverdance, and is currently working on the Broadway production of Wicked, starring Kristen Chenoweth, Idina Menzel and Joel Grey.  Brendan is a member of IATSE.  Brendan’s contacts in the professional world enabled CCCC to establish artistic relationships and internships with Vari*Lite, the leading automated lighting company in the world.  Numerous Quad C students were granted internships with Vari*Lite; including Quad C Theatre Hall-of-Fame members Gregg Brooks, Chris Wilems, Jeff Stover, Andrew Duckworth and Ryan Morris.  Brendan was recently interviewed in Lighting Dimensions magazine.
