Alicia Burgin

          Theatre Technician

Alicia served for many years as the Production Stage Manager, Sound Designer, and Technical Producer of the radio show "Center Stage" with the A.D. Players in Houston.  The A.D. Players is one of the most respected Christian theatre companies in the nation, offering a full adult season of plays as well as a children's series and a national touring company.  While she was a student at Collin, Alicia served as a Student Assistant in the Scene Shop, and worked on eight shows in numerous capacities; including Master Carpenter, Lighting crew, Sound Design and Stage Management, and she even appeared on stage in one show as “The Little Nun” in our production of The House of Blue Leaves.  She stage managed our production of Stand-Up Tragedy, which advanced to the ACTF National Festival at the Kennedy Center.  Alicia graduated with a Bachelors degree in Drama from Texas Woman's University, and has worked professionally with the Pocket Sandwich Theatre in Dallas, New Harmony Theatre in Indiana, Lost Nation Theatre in Vermont, and Brevard Music Center in North Carolina.  She is in her fifth season with the A.D. Players.  Alicia owns her own business  -  Wing and a Prayer Productions  -  and she is producing and designing CD’s for her husband’s band … Will Burgin and the Phantom Cowboys.  Alicia is the recipient of six Collin Theatre Awards, including awards for Stage Management, Sound Design and Running Crew.  She won the Most Improved Theatre Student award in 1994-95, and she was named Outstanding Theatre Student in 1995-96.
