| Who: The Collin Theatre Center Alt Lab Series |
| What: Cause and Effect. Directed by Mat Eldridge, Alyson Sterner, and Matt Cantrell. |
| Seeking: Casting between 8 and 12 actors. Multiple parts are not gender specific. |
When: Monday, March 22, 2010. Call backs will be Tuesday, March 23, 2010. |
| Where: Alt Lab Theatre Room B148, on the campus of Collin County Community College, Jupiter Road, between Spring Creek Parkway and Parker Road. (I-75 N, exit Spring Creek Pkwy-East, R on Jupiter, L into campus.) |
| Call: Open Call. NO APPOINTMENTS TAKEN. |
Prepare:
One 1-minute monologue in the style of the
play. Feel free to use material from either show. It is strongly
recommended that you read the plays before auditioning. |
| Rehearse:
Rehearsals
begin immediately. Rehearsals will generally be Monday-Friday, 7:00-10:00
p.m. |
| Shows:
Cause
and Effect
will be performed in the Alt Lab Theatre on the Plano campus of Collin
College from April 15, 2010 – April 18, 2010. Evening performances are at 8
p.m. Weekend matinees are at 2:15 p.m. |
Plot:
Cause and
Effect
consists of
two shows, one follows the life of one girl as she retells different “Little
Moments” from her life through her stay in foster care to college and
nymphomania to her eventual death. The second show is about
three fetuses
sharing a womb debate about the possibilities of life-after-birth, trying to
come to terms with their impending due-date. |
